Took this image few weeks back on our vacation to Tagaytay. I always see to it during day time i have the sunlight to my advantage. In this image see how the Sun made a rim light on the left side (camera right). It adds life and beauty to the whole composition. Use a Sigma 70 200 2.8 at 2.8 145mm 1/800's ISO200.

Rush... in Blue.
I made this image in a rush... i dont have time to setup my softbox to take this one cause my sister just ask me to take her picture while dress from attending a pageant night(shes one of the judge), what i did is use a 50mm prime but then switch to my sigma lens and i think this looks better shooting it at a longer focal length (its' really what i love using for portraits). I still used an off camera flash with just diffuser on it place camera right on lightstand. Taken with sigma lens 28 105 at 105mm F5.6 1/20's ISO200

Slow down...
This is a water stream image i took lately. The road to this site is really tough and hard! i had to make the most of it and i think i got what i came for. The sunlight though hidden from the clouds still makes my shutter speed to fast to make the water like silk, so i used an ND4 filter and a CPL stuck together just to slow down my shutter. But still not enough so i used the compensation. Taken with sigma lens 28-105mm at 45mm 2/5s F29 ISO200.

Sharp or Not Sharp...
I've been fun using sigma lens lately and this lens can be compared to the giants (Nikon and Canon). But what i like to share is about the use and reviews of many lenses. What ive found based on my lens test (i mean really test) if you get to read reviews of lenses you want to purchase, sometimes it disappoints you on the reviews that this or that lens is unsharp. I think most of the time, lenses are mis used! Test the lens at all apperture (specially 2.8 - 4 lenses) use a tripod and you will see that you just have to master your equiptment for us to benefit. Even a cheap 2.8 lens can be very good if you know how and tested it several times. Me i test the lens night time using up to ISO1600 and found this lens very sharp (maybe not as sharp as the pricey ones). So what i've concluded that if this lens is sharp at 1/8 to 1/25's at night (using tripod) its sure is sharper using it daytime! Test your lens and you'll see waht i mean... every lens has a very sweat spot! 2.8 (Usually at 3.5 or 4) c",)

Tinapa...
A man selling smoked fish on the street for a living.. I love the nice bokeh here. Have been fun shooting people on the street doing their everyday life. Sigma lens 70 200mm at 200mm F3.5 1/500's ISO400
Kalakal...
This is an image belongs to my album in one of the photosharing sites named "Photo Journalism" These kids are collecting recycleable materials so they could sell them to the junkshop. They were very happy with their catch! Sigma lens 70 200mm at 200mm F2.8 1/250's ISO400.
Motor De Paa...
I've been testing my new lens lately and also fun of candid shots on the street. Here is another one i like. just in time the kid look at me when i press the shutter. Use continous mode on focus for moving subject. Use Sigma lens 70 200mm at 200mm F3.5 1/125's ISO400.

Oissstt!!!
Recently i bought my first real telephoto lens. Im so excited to try out the lens. it's true that once you've use a 2.8 lens fast lens you'll never look back! This image is a candid shot and the wind blown look hair is really fantastic! I use the sigma 70 200 2.8 APO EX (not the DG macro version, this one is better sharp at all apperture even wide open). Sigma lens 70 200mm at F3.2 at 200mm ISO200

Bright eyes...
Black and white or monochrome most of the time really looks great than colored! Thats the case on this one. Originally it's in color but not that striking when i first look at it on my computer. but when i converted it on monochrome the eyes become more emphasized and makes this look strong image. Use my softbox to soften the light that makes it beautifull! Nikkor lens 1/60's F5.6 at 105mm ISO200.

Think
This picture is all about being relaxed. To make it look very natural looking i just shoot continously so that to capture the natural body and facial movement. Then select the best shot from the series. its all about patience... you are very lucky if you can nail a great shot in just one click! but i dont think thats the case all the time. Converted this one to monochrome in PS used a softbox place on camera right. Nikkor lens at 65mm 1/60's F5.6 ISO200.
Confident
Ive shot this a later this day using my softbox place camera right. The soft shadows that softbox produce are really lovely and beautiful. This is one of the many shots i made and i may say one of the best (53 shots all just took 3 copies as the best! ) Nikkor lens at 75mm F5.6 1/60's ISO200.

Nature's Beauty
I've always wanted to shoot a waterfall. I got a chance today as i was on my way to work in baguio. On the way up in Baguio i saw this waterfall on a cliff. Got to stop to take this one. The softness of the water makes the whole image alive! nikkor lens at 200mm 1sec, F32 ISO200

Soft Beauty
I love shooting portrait with a shallow depth of field. (don't have the high apperture lens yet c",)) . Images of people looks better when they look natural. Don't say the dreaded "smile" before taking the shot. Me i just tell them to be ready and thats it.. they wont even notice that i have taken their picture already.. thats more natural look hey? Nikkor Lens at 200mm 1/180's F5.6 ISO 200.

Sunset at work
This is one of my favorite shot. We were in vacation and had been drinking for the past 3 hours and i was always looking back for the sunset to give me a good background to shoot with the guys. Got lucky and took the guys to some photo shoot. This only happens within 5 minutes cause the sun really sets so fast. Let my cousin hold the off camera flash for me up high from camera right to create this beautiful spotlight and directional lighting. Taken at 18mm 1/20's Nikkor lens handheld.

Reflection
Just another macro shot which i love. One thing that is great about droplet macro shots is the reflection it creates from the background which really works well and its like a picture in a picture. Taken with extension tubes using nikkor lens 28 200mm handheld.
Locked
This Macro image shot i took using extension tubes with nikkor lens at 1/160s, macro shots are tough to shoot but once you've captured one its surely amazing to see small world in a big picture!

Not too shallow
One style of shots i love. a shallow depth of field blurring the background and making the subject more emphasized (Glass and Hand). Taken at 46mm F5.6 1/250's ISO800 Nikkor Lens.
I see you..
I love shooting people offguard (or stolen shots as they say). They look better than posed shots most of the time and the person will love it for sure. Taken at 92mm F5.6 1/160's ISO400 Nikkor Lens
Mother and Daughter Moments
Mother and Daughter having a great day at the beach. Taken at water level to create a beautiful depth of field view. Taken at 135mm F5.6 1/1250s ISO200 Nikkor Lens

Background
This image is from a friend's wedding day. i was trying to capture some great and unique images because
there's not enough good lighting at the reception, the ceiling too high so i took this flower as the focus object but the subject really are the couple. nikon lens 1/45s F5.6 ISO400.
