Just another fun shoot after an event. took advantage of using only available light! I love using stabilized lens and it really make a difference and lets me shoot at a really low shutter speed. at 17mm 1/13's F3.2 ISO 1600

Sunset in the City

I took this image trying to test my new lens, the timing is just right after sunset. I love the color of the sky so i rush and took my camera and took the shot. Composition is everything, even w/o the super high-end lenses or equipments! Sigma 17-70 OS(Stabilized) ISO200 F2.8 1/20's at 17mm.

Took this image few weeks back on our vacation to Tagaytay. I always see to it during day time i have the sunlight to my advantage. In this image see how the Sun made a rim light on the left side (camera right). It adds life and beauty to the whole composition. Use a Sigma 70 200 2.8 at 2.8 145mm 1/800's ISO200.

Rush... in Blue.

I made this image in a rush... i dont have time to setup my softbox to take this one cause my sister just ask me to take her picture while dress from attending a pageant night(shes one of the judge), what i did is use a 50mm prime but then switch to my sigma lens and i think this looks better shooting it at a longer focal length (its' really what i love using for portraits). I still used an off camera flash with just diffuser on it place camera right on lightstand. Taken with sigma lens 28 105 at 105mm F5.6 1/20's ISO200

Slow down...

This is a water stream image i took lately. The road to this site is really tough and hard! i had to make the most of it and i think i got what i came for. The sunlight though hidden from the clouds still makes my shutter speed to fast to make the water like silk, so i used an ND4 filter and a CPL stuck together just to slow down my shutter. But still not enough so i used the compensation. Taken with sigma lens 28-105mm at 45mm 2/5s F29 ISO200.

Sharp or Not Sharp...

I've been fun using sigma lens lately and this lens can be compared to the giants (Nikon and Canon). But what i like to share is about the use and reviews of many lenses. What ive found based on my lens test (i mean really test) if you get to read reviews of lenses you want to purchase, sometimes it disappoints you on the reviews that this or that lens is unsharp. I think most of the time, lenses are mis used! Test the lens at all apperture (specially 2.8 - 4 lenses) use a tripod and you will see that you just have to master your equiptment for us to benefit. Even a cheap 2.8 lens can be very good if you know how and tested it several times. Me i test the lens night time using up to ISO1600 and found this lens very sharp (maybe not as sharp as the pricey ones). So what i've concluded that if this lens is sharp at 1/8 to 1/25's at night (using tripod) its sure is sharper using it daytime! Test your lens and you'll see waht i mean... every lens has a very sweat spot! 2.8 (Usually at 3.5 or 4) c",)
